OSP switching all patrol cars to a blue lightbar

Ohio State Highway Patrol cruisers will soon be getting new light panels. Officials with the highway patrol said that the typical red and blue lights that you’re used to seeing will be going away.
The new lightbars will be purely blue and white lights, in an effort to decrease the number of situations such as an officer getting struck by a vehicle.
Officials with the highway patrol said the state mandated the order to replace all light bars early this year. The new lights will give officers out on the road more safety, especially at night.

I seen an OSP Unit today on the 270 Outer belt escorting a wide load convoy with his blue lightbar all lite up. Can’t say I liked it at first glance, but I can see the reasoning behind to an all blue light setup.

Yeah I noticed one a few weeks ago at Subway in Grove City. Talked to the Trooper and he said most of the guys he’s talked to are not to thrilled about the switch over. I think it will grow on them in time like everything else.
